Conveyor & Storage Solutions helped Parks Coffee design, project manage, and install warehouse equipment prior to any employees working on site. With the project coordinator located out of state, this allowed Parks to focus on operations and personnel for a timely launch of their new facility.
Parks Coffee is a family-owned corporate coffee service, providing a comprehensive array of freshly roasted coffees, snacks, and drinks as well as break room and janitorial supplies. Starting in the garage of the husband and wife owners, Parks Coffee now services over 15,000 corporate accounts spanning 5 states. Priding themselves in the quality behind the service they provide, they’ve been sourcing and curating their own beans direct from families and farms throughout the world’s coffee growing regions.
After closing on their location in the El Cajon area of San Diego, they arranged a site visit with a local general contractor as well as Conveyor and Storage Solutions to come together on a vision for the offices, meeting area, and warehouse. THEIR GOAL was to get up and running as quickly, and efficiently, as possible.
CSS took on-site warehouse measurements, while noting the renovations that would change the existing layout. The owner Randy, his project coordinator Mario, and the LA manager Troy shared their vision of the warehouse and how it would flow. From there, Mario was able coordinate remotely from Texas with C&SS to iron out details such as the racking layout, number and types of pallets that could be stored, and warehouse efficiency.
After the site visit, Parks wanted to be up and running as soon as the renovations were complete. With C&SS’s large inventory of Hannibal pallet racking in stock at their storage yard in Ramona, they were able to deliver within the customer’s timeline and provide expert in-house installation.
Conveyor & Storage Solutions provided the following products and services:
• Coordinated site visit with Parks project managers (from TX, in town 1 day), Parks LA manager, and local GC performing required renovations to the facility
• Provided multiple layouts to Parks project coordinator remotely, confirming the exact setup that would work best
• New Hannibal pallet racking, in stock at CSS storage yard for on-time delivery on a tight timeline
• Installation with C&SS’s in-house crew, in coordination with the general contractor (no Parks personnel were required on site)
